Thompson Machinery Sales, Inc. was founded in 1979 by John Thompson, a veteran of 45 years in the construction industry.

Originally, the primary focus of our company was the purchase and resale of current to late model Caterpillar earthmoving and mining machinery. Subsequently, we recognized other manufacturers provided quality equipment, and as a result broadened our scope to include all name brands, coupled with additional products relating to all facets of the construction industry.

In 30 years of operation, Thompson Machinery Sales has established a reputation both domestically and internationally as a viable source for quality “work ready” equipment at competitive prices.

Thompson Machinery’s marketing department will be happy to market your equipment on a consignment basis once we establish a mutually agreed value. This can produce significant savings when one factors in the auction costs of 10 - 20%, prep fees, transportation and, of course, the possibility that the “right buyer” was not attending the sale.
